Call Forward:

The call forward box is a separate device that can be connected to both the RK and the VD-950 systems. This state of the art feature allows you to receive a call from your door station directly to your mobile cell phone, permitting you to communicate with the guest and let them in from any remote location by opening the door, front gate or any entry point where you choose to place a door station.  With this brand new feature you never have to miss a guest, you may converse with your visitor and simply by pushing a button on your cell phone you can grant access to any entry from a remote location. Perfect for the constant traveler, the call forward feature will remove the stress of missing a guest while not at home.  

Entryvue VD-950 Key Features:

1. Never miss a thing: Choose from 2 monitors. The P7 or P5. The P7 and P5 monitors are both equipped with internal picture memory capabilities. Every time a visitor rings your door bell the monitors will automatically store a picture allowing you to review all daily guests. You may choose from two options: 1 picture taken or 3 consecutive back to back pictures (2 GB Micro SD Card optional for additional storage)
2.  Our new sleek and modern monitor design gives us a unique edge above the rest, with a variety of sizes, models, and colors to choose from (black or white) to match any home décor. The monitors also come with our state of the art picture memory feature which automatically takes a picture every time a guest rings the door bell. The picture is time stamped with a date and time and automatically recycles itself when the memory is full.
3. Call Forward Function: The call forward function allows you to receive a call from the door station directly to your mobile phone, permitting you to communicate with the guest and let them in from any remote location through your mobile cell phone. This state of the art feature is convenient and functional for someone who travels a lot. You may also choose to disable the call forward feature, give a time limit (forward call after 10 or 20 seconds) or you can ring the monitors and call forward simultaneously.
4. Intercom Function: If you have more than 1 monitor installed you can call and communicate with each other in separate rooms using the monitor intercom function. You can assign a unit ID to each monitor so that you may call (intercom) a specific room/monitor or you may choose the broadcast option and communicate to all rooms/monitors simultaneously.
5. The VD-950 comes with a choice of 4 door stations: A, B, C and D. All of which come equipped with a high resolution Sony CCD camera with a wide angle view lens.
6. Night vision: When someone rings your door bell at night the LED lights on the door station will automatically light up allowing you to have a clear view of your guest. 
7. 2 Wire System: Convenient when replacing an existing audio intercom system with a video intercom system. Simply daisy chain the monitors throughout the house. We recommend 2 X 18 or 2 X 14 gauge wire, stranded, not shielded (speaker wire.)
8. Expandable to 4 door stations and 16 monitors. In addition, you can add 6 CCTV cameras that can be observed from all monitors.

VD-950 Door Station B:

The VD-950 Door Station B is exactly the same as door station A with the exception that it comes with 2 buttons instead of 1. The extra button is perfect for a duplex, office, or any cohabitated residence where there is a need to have a separate entry button. For example: if you are in a duplex and would like button 1 to call the downstairs residence and button 2 to call the upstairs residence you can do so all from the same device/door station eliminating the need for two entry stations.

Monitors: P5 and P7:

The VD-950 system comes with a choice of two monitors. The P5- 5” inch screen monitor or the P7- 7” inch screen monitor. The large screen size makes viewing your guest easy and convenient. Their sleek, sophisticated, stylish design permits you to incorporate the monitors in your home without them being an eye sore for you and your guest.  The monitors come in a choice of two colors- black or white to match any home décor.  Both monitors are equipped with a touch screen menu for easy operation and the P5- 5” monitor also comes with built in buttons allowing you to choose which function works best for you. Our new monitor design combines functionality with style incorporating these two assets for your viewing pleasure.

Monitor Desk Stand:

All VD-950 and RK monitors come standard with a wall mount bracket but you may also choose to place them on your desk or anywhere you’d like with our sturdy, strong, durable desk stand. This universal desk stand works for both monitors P5 and P7 and allows you to view the door station from any hard surface like a desk or table.  

VD-950 and RK IR-Remote Controller:

With the IR- Remote Control you can operate your monitor remotely, simply push the controller button to answer or unlock the door. This small hand held device allows you to open the door without having to physically get up and touch the monitor. For example, if you are in the living room watching TV and aware of a guest’s arrival you do not need to walk up to the monitor in order to let them in, with the single push of the IR-Remote Control you can allow entry to any visitor.

VD-950 and RK Software:

The VD-950 and RK Software allows you to electronically label each monitor with your desired name in order to easily identify which monitor you would like to intercom with. For example: you may label one monitor kitchen, master bed room or (if using in office) you can label them reception, shipping, manager office. You can also give them physical names such as “John’s room” or “Bobs room.”

1. Why a video intercom system?

- A video intercom system provides you with security and protection. You never have to wonder who is at your front door again, with our Entryvue  systems you are able to view and communicate with the person outside of your door without physically opening the door.

- All of our video intercom monitors are equipped with touch screen capabilities, picture memory and are compatible with CCTV security cameras adding extra protection to our already secured systems.

2. Can I install the intercom myself?

-Yes. All of our systems come with a quick set up guide making it user friendly and easy for both installers and customers to set up. Our VD-950 and RK systems only require 2 wires for set up. Meaning to set up you all you need is to connect two wires to the power supply (included) and from the power supply to the monitors. We also offer tech support-typically available right away, if not within 24 hours of service call.

3. I want to replace my audio intercom with a video intercom. Can I do that?

- Yes, our VD-950 single family home system and RK apartment system only require 2 wires for set up. This is ideal when replacing an existing audio system. Not only are our 2 wire systems convenient for set up, they significantly reduce the cost of wire.

4. What about a wireless system? A wireless video intercom without cables?

- All of our systems are require wires. We offer a reliable, high quality system that cannot be compared to the unreliable qualities of a wireless system. A wired system offers a reliable video signal (something rarely achieved through wireless.)

- Also, a wire system allows you to receive a clear picture from the CCTV camera, something that can only be achieved with a hardwire system. This is particularly beneficial when attempting to view out of your door station at night-with a wireless system the image can be obscured and easily tampered with. Not to mention, a wireless system often provides you with remote controls or unlock functions that others may be able to access with similar wireless objects.

5. What is the difference between the RK apartment system and the HK apartment system?

- The RK is a 2 wire system intended for small and medium size apartment buildings and can accommodate up to 32 apartments.

            - The HK system requires 8 wires (6 plus 2 for power) and is typically used for large apartment buildings beginning at 20 and can go all the way up to 528 apartments.
